Katuns are a cultural heritage of this region, the settlements of the nomadic farmers who move their herds to high mountain pastures during the summer and make temporary, authentic settlements there which are very characteristic in architecture. This tradition almost died off in Europe and it slowly subsides in Montenegro and there are less and less stockbreeders who are going to katuns. But, they still exist and some can be found close to our Centre. We shall gladly direct you to some of the katuns worth the visit and you can see and enjoy katuns’ food which is widely appreciated for it excellent taste and exceptionally healthy and practically organic ingredients used in preparation.
